 In 1960, when exiled from his home country, 14th Dalai Lama His Holiness Tenzin Gyatso came to Dharamshala and settled here at the former British cantonment of McLeodgunj. Tibetan Government in exile is functioning from this place since 1960’s. The trek in Dhauldhar range starts from this historic town and finishes at Chamba.

THE INDERHARA PASS TREK BRIEF ITINERARY

 

Day 1: Arrive Delhi

Day 2: Board the train from Delhi to Chakki Bank and drive further 11 hrs to Dharamshala (1250 Mtrs).

Day 3: In Dharamshala – day at leisure for independent activities

Day 4: Drive 4 kms to Satobari Village and trek to Kareri Village (1900 Mtrs)

Day 5: Trek from Kareri to Bahl village, en-route visit Rawa Village (2000 Mtrs) situated on the bank of Rawa River.

Day 6: Trek steep from Bahl to Triund

Day 7: Trek from Triund to Laka Got near Laka glacier (3200 Mtrs)

Day 8: Trek from Laka Got to Indehara Pass (4300 Mtrs) and descend 2-3hrs to the camping place at Chatta Parao (3300 Mtrs)

Day 9: Trek to Kuwarsi Village, one of the remote villages of Chamba Valley.

Day 10: Trek 3-4 hrs to Choli road head and drive 2 hrs to Chamba

Day 11: Drive from Chamba to Pathankot passing through Khajiar and Dalhousie and board the overnight train to Delhi.

Day 12: In Delhi – local sightseeing including red fort, India Gate, Qutub Minar followed by celebration dinner.

Day 13: Fly to onward destination from Delhi airport.
