This trek is part of the ancient pilgrims trail from Gangotri to Kedarnath in the tradition of Vamvrata yatra that begins from Yamunotri and ends at Badrinath, after paying respects at the Gangotri and Kedarnath Shrines. A magnificent Temple was built by the Pandavas at the base of Kedarnath peak’s southern east face. This trek offers very good view of range of Gangotri and Kedarnath Mountain Peaks.
Up in the misty heights of the majestic Himalayas, awaits a rejuvenating spiritual experience for the devout. Kedarnath (3,581 m) nestled in the majestic Kedarnath range, is one of the Jyotirlingas of Kedar or Lord Shiva where as Chopta (2900 m) – Gives the most breathtaking view of the majestic Himalayas. Chopta is very rich in variety of flora and fauna, and very popular for its expanse of rhododendron and deodar trees.
It is a paradise for nature lovers and
adventure enthusiasts’ traveler, The morning view from Chopta is very scenic
when the crimson rays of sun kisses the snow laden Himalayas. Tungnath (3680
m): The highest of all the temples in the Himalayas. It is a short but rigorous
hike beyond the temple, The temple is one of the five Kedar where arm of lord
Shiva appeared.

KEDARNATH
TREK BRIEF ITINERARY
Day 01: Arrive Delhi and transfer to Hotel for overnight.
Day 02: Drive to Rishikesh (225 Kms)/Haridwar.
Rishikesh is known as the ‘Gateway to Himalaya” and is centre for Yoga & Meditation. On Arrival Haridwar railway station meet & greet by other team members. Later transfer to your Hotel. After noon enjoy the city tour of Haridwar. evening perform Ganga Arti at Har-ki-pauri. Dinner and overnight stay at Haridwar.
Day 03: Haridwar
– Guptkashi (227 kms / 7hrs)
To day morning after breakfast drive to Guptakashi via Rudraprayag, en route visit Devprayag the confluence of river Alaknanda & Bhagirathi. Arrival by evening at Guptakashi check-into hotel. Dinner & overnight stay at Guptakashi.
Day 04: Guptkashi – Kedarnath – Guptkashi (28 Km / 1hrs & 14 trek 4hrs)
This morning after breakfast drive to Gaurikund having hot water spring after having bath in hot water spring start your trek to Kedarnath. On arrival take holy darshan and perform pooja there. Later trek down to Gaurikund and drive to Guptkashi. Dinner and overnight stay at Guptakashi.
Day 05:
Guptkashi – Chopta (65 Kms / 1.3hrs drive) Excursion Tunganath
Today start your drive to Chopta a paradise for nature lovers and adventure enthusiasts’ traveler. On arrival check-into hotel. Later start your trek to Tunganath (3680 m) one of the five Kedar. The trek is 3 kms upward. Enroute you will find lush green meadows and you can see the entire range of snow capped range of Chaukhamba peak in Himalayas. Upon arrival at Tungnath Temple perform worship there. After relaxation trek back to Chopta. Dinner and overnight stay at chopta.
Day 06: Chopta –
Haridwar (225kms/7hrs)
Today morning after an early breakfast enjoy local sightseeing of Chopta. Later drive to Haridwar. On arrival at Haridwar check-in to hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
Day 07: Drive to
Delhi (225 Kms).
Today after breakfast depart from Haridwar. En-route stop to visit Har-ki-pauri Ghat. On arrival transfer to the hotel for farewell dinner and overnight stay.
Day 08: Depart Delhi or optional Delhi sightseeing, visit Red Fort, India Gate, President House and later board the flight to onward destination
