The trek is famous for its splendid view of some of the highest mountains of the World. Sandakphu trek is most popular among the trekkers from overseas and domestic tourist. Sunrise over Kanchendzonga range from Tiger Hills. Trek through tea garden, rhododendron forest.

Note: This trek requires permit and passport visa would be very necessary for Non India passport holders

Brief Itinerary

 

Day 01: Arrive Delhi and transfer to Hotel for overnight.

Day 02: Fly to Bagdogra and drive to Darjeeling.

Day 03: Drive to Tiger Hills (5 Kms) to see sunrise over Mt Everest and Mt Kanchendzonga ranges and also visit Ghoom Monasteries, Himalayan Mountaineering Institue, Zoological garden etc.

Day 04: Drive to Manibhanjan (2134 Mtrs) ans start the trek to Tonglu (3070 Mtrs) via Meghma

Day 05: Trek to Kalpokhari (3750 Mtrs) via Gairibas 14 Kms. Kalpokhari  has a small lake surrounded by pine trees

Day 06: Trek to Sandakphu (3636 Mtrs), which offers panaromic view of mountains like Mt Everest(8848 Mtrs), Makalu (8462 Mtrs), Kanchandzonga (8586 Mtrs), Lhotse(8501 Mtrs).

Day 07: Trek to Phalut (3605 Mtrs)

Day 08: Trek to Ramam (2560 Mtrs)

Day 09: Trek to Rimbik (2286 Mtrs)

Day 10: Trek to Bijanbari (road head)

Day 11: Drive back to Darjeeling (2 Hrs) and relax at the hotel

Day 12: Transfer to Bagdogra airport and fly to Delhi. On arrival transfer to hotel

Day 13: Depart Delhi or optional Delhi sightseeing, visit Red Fort, India Gate, President House and later board the flight to onward destination
