Kaziranga & Sundarbans is the tour of double trekking destination national park as Kaziranga national park and Sunderbans National Park. Kazairanga National Park is situated in the North-Eastern state of Assam in the glory of River Brahmputra. It is also famous for the Jungle vegetation and one-horned rhino is the mark of the Kaziranga Park. Sunderbans National Park, famous for the Project Tiger is set off by the Government of India which is situated in 24 Paraganas region of West Bengal. Being celebrated for the wildlife beauty, Sunderbans National Park is also the abode of Bengal Tiger and wild animals. Both National Parks are the dwell of flora and fauna and wild animals yet those are related to different locations and gives lot of satisfaction to the visitors.

BRIEF ITINERARY

Day 01: Kolkata

Arrive Kolkata and transfer to Hotel for overnight.

Day 02: Kolkata – Jorhat – Majuli (45Kms/2-3 Hrs Drive & Ferry)

Fly to Jorhat and transfer to Nimati Ghat (closest bank to Brahmaputra River on Jorhat Side) and ferry to Majuli. Overnight at a Guest House

Day 03: Majuli

Enjoy the local area during the day including Mishing Village – main cultural aspect of Majuli, Sangri Sattra – great place to see human mask making, enjoy bird watching and relax. Overnight at a guest House

Day 04: Majuli – Jorhat – Kaziranga (160 Kms/ 5-6 Hrs Drive & Ferry)

Ferry back to Nimati Ghat and drive further to Kaziranga National Park. Overnight at a Guest House.

Day 05: Kaziraga

Enjoy Elephant Safari inside Kaziranga National Park. Overnight at Guest House

Day 06: Kaziranga – Tezpur – Manas (300 Kms/ 6-7 Hrs Drive)

Drive down to Manas National Park (Bordering Bhutan and formed by the watershed of the Manas, Hukau & Beki Rivers. The Manas National Park is the only Tiger Reserve in Assam. It has a wealth of wildlife and it’s picturesque. Overnight at a Guest House.

Day 07: Manas

Enjoy Elephant Safari inside Manas National Park. Tea/cookies would be provided during your Safari inside the Jungle. Overnight at Guest House

Day 08: Manas – Guwahati (150 Kms/ 3-4 Hrs Drive)

Trek to Mathanguri point (7Kms) on the Bhutan Side. Post lunch drive to Guwahati, the capital city of Assam. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 09: Guwahati – Kolkata (Flight 2 Hrs)

Visit the famous Kamakhya Temple on Nilachal Hills (8Kms west of the city) is believed to be ancient Sacrifice site. Further fly to Kolkata and overnight at Hotel.

Day 10: Cruise through the Sunderbans

Drive to Godkhali Jetty, Sunderbans by 1330 Hrs. M.V.Paramhamsa will cast off at 1400 Hrs. The cruise sails down the beautiful Ganges towards the South, passing through various heritage sites. After 7 hrs, it reaches the gateway to Sunderbans-Namkhana. Overnight on board MV Paramhamsa.

Day 11: Cruise through the Sunderbans

Early this morning at 5.30 AM you may enjoy a spectacular sunrise, while the cruiser sails towards the east. This day the guests will experience the rich Biodiversity of the Sunderban Tiger reserve. Visits to watch towers and cruising through the small creeks along the mangrove forests for wildlife sighting, birding through the dense mangrove forest. Being a swamp forest, forest visits are only through boats only. Evening, there will be talk show on sunderbans along with wild life films. Overnight on board MV Paramhamsa

Day 12: Cruise through the Sunderbans

This morning, walk through the mangroves and visit the crocodile project on Bhagabatpur island which is a hatchery and sanctuary to the biggest estuarine crocodiles in the world. A good birding opportunity for wide range of migratory and local birds of this region. Next the guests will visit the Fisherman’s Cove at Namkhana. The busy fishing harbour will give an insight to the lifestyle of the fishermen. The guests can buy fresh fish and other sea foods to be cooked in the live kitchen counters. Later in the evening depending on the tide, vessel sails to Kolkata passing through Haldia, Diamond Harbour, Raichak etc. Overnight on board MV Paramhamsa

Day 13: Sunderbans - Kolkata

Arrival at Vivada Jetty at Millennium Park, Kolkata by Morning. Check – out and Disembark from M V Paramhamsa after breakfast. 

Day14: Kolkata Departure

Transfer to the Kolkata Airport and board the flight to further destination.
