Trip Details:

 Tawang Monasteries – one of the largest in North East India (second only to Potala Palace) is set against dramatic backdrop of snow clad mountains. Over 500 monks are resident of this Monastery which has strong Tibetan influence. An eight meters high gilded Buddha dominates the sanctum of the Monastery. Kaziranga National Park – the oldest national park of Assam is home to great Indian one-horned Rhinoceros. Spread over 430 sq. km, it is a dazzling mosaic of dense rain forest, tall elephant grass and swath of reeds. Kaziranga is also home to wild elephants and other wild animals.

BRIEF ITINERARY

 

Day 01: Delhi

Arrive Delhi and transfer to Hotel for overnight.

Day 02: Delhi – Guwahati – Tezpur (200 Kms/4-5Hrs)

Fly to Guwahati and drive to Tezpur.

Day 03: Tezpur – Bomdila – Dirang (200 Kms/5-6Hrs)

Drive to Reach Bomdilla (2400Mtrs). En-route stop at Bhalukpong 65Kms from Tezpur for passport checking. Bhalukpong serves as the border between Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. Overnight at a Guest House.

Day 04: Dirang – Tawang (135 Kms/4-5Hrs)

Drive to reach Tawang (3090 Mtrs). Visit on the most typical Monpa villages and the Buddhist Kalachkra Monasteries. Post lunch drive to Tawang, en-route stop for a photo session while crossing the 13,714fts high Sela Pass. Overnight stay at a Guest House.

Day 05: In Tawang

Visit the famous Galden Namgyal Lhatse Monastery know as Tawang Monastery, Ani Gompa (Nunnery Monastery), Urgyaling Gompa – the Monasteries belonging. Ovenight at a guest house.

Day 06: Tawang – Bomdilla (180 Kms/6Hrs)

After breakfast drive back to Bomdilla. Overnight stay at a guest house.

Day 07: Bomdilla – Tezpur (160Kms/4-5Hrs)

After breakfast drive back to Tezpur. Overnight at a guest house.

Day 08: Tezpur – Kaziranga (50Kms/2Hrs)

After breakfast drive to Kaziranga – the Rhino land. Spread over more than 340 Sq. Km of wet land. Afternoon park safari on Jeep. Overnight at a Guest House

Day 09: In Kaziranga

Kaziranga National Park safari for Game viewing on Elephant back. Overnight at a Guest House.

Day 10: Kaziranga – Guwahati – Delhi (200Kms/3-4Hrs)

Morning transfer to Guwahati airport and fly to Delhi. On arrival transfer to hotel

Day 11: Depart Delhi

Or optional Delhi sightseeing, visit Red Fort, India Gate, President House and later board the flight to onward destination.
