The Pindari glacier is located in Pindari Valley. It lies between the Nanda Devi and Nandakot Peaks at an altitude of 3627 Mtrs. The Pindari Glacier is about 3 Kms long and is fed by the South-Western slope of the outer wall of Nanda Devi Sanctuary. River Pindari, one of the main tributaries of the River Alakhnanda, originates from this glacier. The trekking route runs along the southern wilderness of Nanda Devi Sanctuary and is boarded by the beautiful landscape and breathtaking views of the heights like Panwali Dhar (6683 Mtrs) and Maiktoli (6803 Mtrs)

PINDARI TREK BRIEF ITINERARY

 

Day 01: Arrive Delhi and transfer to Hotel for overnight.

Day 02: Drive to Almora (379 Kms)

Day 03: Drive to Binsar via Kausani.

Day 04: Drive to Song (140 Kms/6-7hrs)

Day 05: Start the trek from Song to Dhakuri by crossing over Dhakuri pass (2800 Mtrs/15 Kms)

Day 06: Trek to Khati (8 Kms)

Day 07: Trek to Phurkia (15 Kms)

Day 08: Round trek to Pindari Glacier which is also called as ‘Zero Point’.

Day 09: Trek from Phurkia to Dwali (5Kms)

Day 10: Trek to Dhakuri (20 Kms)

Day 11: Trek to Song road head (14 Kms)

Day 12: Drive to Sitlakhet (140 Kms)

Day 13: Drive to Delhi (387 Kms) and transfer to the Hotel.

Day 14: Depart Delhi or optional Delhi sightseeing, visit Red Fort, India Gate, President House and later board the flight to onward destination
