Shri Yogender Chaudhry (IRS), Advisor to CM Haryana and mentor of daredevil youth groups.
An Indian Revenue Service Officer of 1989 batch Shri Yogender
Chaudhry is a prominent name in youth development and what sets him apart is his
enthusiasm to encourage the adventure spirit among the youth especially from
the remote rural areas. Let’s jump in and hear from him why he says, “jisme
himmat hai wo kare" i.e. if you have that in you then do it.
One of his flagship initiatives as P.S Youth and Sports Department is Youthpreneur training program for rural youth of Haryana which was appreciated by Hon Chief Minister Shri Manohar Lal Khattar and a grant of 2cr was sanctioned on the spot to enable youth develop an alternate source of income through their adventure and hospitality skills.
Youthpreneur is synonymous to “A big & positive CHANGE” in the lives of young #adventuresports aspirants who want to make a career in this field.#youthpreneur ensures that the youth gets the most righteous guidance & efficient #training to transform them into #youngentrepreneurs pic.twitter.com/4c93KVgUOb

The spirit of his Youthpreneur
program did not remain in the villages of Haryana and spread out to many states
including Odisha, Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh where he is personally
mentoring his daredevil youth groups to develop sustainable homestays and local excursions. Among this one village from Odisha has moved up to the status of Adventure Village of India and the youth are getting trained into several adventure sports so they could represent state into several adventure sports (snow) competitions as well. Odisha being a non Himalayan state lacks snow for practice but the Youthpreneur initiative at the Adventure Village supported by Department of Youth Affairs and Sports, Odisha would certainly set an example for other coastal states as well.
Let’s have his final word on how to be successful.
